Girl, 8, airlifted to hospital after being attacked by wolf inside animal enclosure

A young girl is fighting for her life after being viciously mauled by a wolf inside an animal enclosure at a German wildlife park on Wednesday morning.

First responders rushed to the Wildpark Johannismühle in Baruth, about 28 miles outside Berlin, following emergency calls at around 9:30 a.m., according to BILD.

Paramedics treated the 8-year-old on-site for severe head injuries before she was airlifted to a specialist trauma clinic in Marzahn.

Police said the child entered the enclosure accompanied by two other children and a park employee before she was attacked by “at least one wild animal,” the outlet reported.

Park officials declined to comment and told BILD the facility was closed for the day as authorities investigate the horrific mauling.

Wildpark Johannismühle is home to a variety of wildlife — including grey and Arctic wolves, deer, birds and wildcats.

Wildpark Johannismühle and the German West Police Directorate did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

The tragic attack comes just days after a veteran zookeeper was mauled at a Dutch safari park.

She sustained severe head and neck injuries and frantically called for help on her walkie-talkie during the horrifying attack, according to Dutch News.

“The keeper started at the Beekse Bergen Safari Park at the age of 17 and worked here, with only a few short interruptions, for nearly 40 years,” the park said.

The zoo worker underwent emergency surgery and died three days after the horrifying attack.
